In the field of precision casting, some projects present unique challenges that require innovative solutions. One such case involved the casting of a pump body, which had a complex design with multiple narrow internal passages. The smallest of these passages was only 2-3 millimeters wide, creating significant difficulties for traditional casting methods.
The pump body design featured intricate internal passages and narrow channels that were critical to the pump’s functionality. Due to the narrowness of these internal cavities, precise casting was essential. Any slight deviation could lead to functional issues, resulting in rework and delays. As a result, traditional casting methods, such as sand casting, struggled to achieve the required precision, especially within such narrow spaces.
To address these challenges, we utilized our proprietary 3DP+SLS composite sand casting technology. This advanced process combines the benefits of 3D printing (3DP) and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) to produce highly precise sand molds.
By combining these two technologies, we were able to successfully produce a high-quality pump body with precisely cast internal passages. This not only ensured the functionality of the pump body but also significantly shortened the overall production cycle.

Thanks to the 3DP+SLS composite sand casting process, we were able to:
This project clearly demonstrates how advanced casting technologies can solve complex engineering challenges and deliver high-quality results in a short time.
By adopting the innovative 3DP+SLS composite sand casting process, we can confidently tackle a wide range of complex casting projects, whether they involve low-volume production, intricate designs, or time-sensitive requirements.
